For this trick you'll need an empty glass bottle and a peeled, hard boiled egg.
To perform the trick, you have to first get the egg inside the bottle.
Pour some hot - but not boiling - water into the bottle. Because it's hot, the air is expanding.
If you put the bottle into a bowl of icy water, it cools down and the air contracts.
This means that the pressure outside the bottle is greater than the pressure inside the bottle, meaning...
...that the egg, balanced on the rim of the bottle...
...is pulled inside!
But - that's not the trick!
The trick is to get the egg out of the bottle, without damaging either the egg or the bottle!
The solution is quite easy. You need to increase the pressure inside the bottle, so that the egg is forced out.
The best way of increasing the pressure is by blowing into the bottle...
...like this. The egg will just slip out easily. It takes a bit of practice - you need to make sure that your mouth is firmly around the top of the bottle.
You also have to be careful that you don't swallow the egg!
