Here's a great way of brightening up dull clothes that's easy, quick and doesn't cost a fortune!
To start with, you'll need an old plain t-shirt or pair of jeans, some wax crayons and a sheet of sandpaper.
Once you've got everything together, you can start to create a design.

Use the crayons to draw out a design on the rough side of the sandpaper.

Remember to do any lettering in reverse!
The sandpaper is the key to the success of this item.

It holds the crayon wax by trapping it between the granules on the surface of the sandpaper.
Once you're happy with your design, flip the sandpaper over so that the rough surface faces down.

Place it onto your jeans or t-shirt, and cover with a clean tea towel.
Iron over it for about twenty seconds.

The iron shouldn't be too hot, and do remember to ask for help if you've not used an iron before - you don't want to burn your design, your jeans or even yourself!
The ironing process melts the crayon wax onto the material, taking with it some of the hard sand granules from the sandpaper.

And because wax and water don't mix, you can wash your jazzed up clothes on a very cool wash and the design will stay put.
Result!

The perfect designer outfit for any occasion.
