Here’s a great make for any practical jokers out there!
Why not make a completely false mess – a dropped ice-cream cone or spilled milkshake – to freak your family, only for you effortlessly pick it up and reveal it as a joke. |
Cut out a piece of cardboard box card like this.
Cover it with cling film.
Next, get hold of some cornflour and sieve it into a bowl to remove any lumps.
Add in a good quantity of PVA glue…
…and stir.
Keep adding more PVA glue until the consistency of the mixture is thick but paste-like!
Dollop some of the paste onto the cling film covered cardboard.
Add some red paint to the paste by using a fine brush. |
Next, firmly press an ice cream cone into the paste.
It doesn’t matter if it breaks a little – it will look more realistic!
To make the milkshake, mix up some more cornflour and PVA glue until it’s thick and paste-like, and runs off the spoon slowly.
Add in a blob or two of red paint…
…and stir.
This will make the paste turn pink!
Pour some of the mixture into a clear plastic drinks cup, like this.
Add in a drinking straw.
Then deliberately spill the “drink“ onto cling film covered cardboard.
Leave to dry, and when done, darken the edges of the milkshake - to make them look like they’ve dried – by using nail varnish.
When the paste has dried both creations can be removed from their cardboard and put into position ready to freak out a passing parent or friend!
