For this puzzle, all you need is a piece of ordinary string with two loops in it – one large, and one small.

Challenge someone to hold each end and make the small loop close before the big one.
It's not easy – they both close at the same time!

Tell them to "chew it over".

Just grip the string between the loops in your teeth and pull to close the small loop first!
