
Nigel is 42 – but he’s been fascinated by nature since he was a boy. At eight years old he had his own hamster colony. At nine he was racing stick insects. Then came eels in the bath and boa constrictors...
Nigel studied botany and zoology at Bristol University. His first TV job involved looking after worms; he then worked as a Researcher and today travels the world producing and presenting wildlife TV shows.
Favourite Pastime: Bird watching

Favourite Food: Veggie burger and chips
Current Pets: Leopard geckos, Honduran milk snakes, a blue-tongued skink, an amphiuma (an aquatic salamander), a sharp-ribbed salamander and Oscar, a Verreaux’s eagle owl.
Did You Know...
Incredibly, despite all his travelling and animal encounters, Nigel has never had a tropical disease, broken a bone, had a nosebleed, a black eye or been admitted to hospital!
