Five... Four... Three...Two... One.... Blast Off!
Right from the very start as the strains of Star Wars fill the theatre and the spotlight searches the stage, you know you’re going to be in for an experience that’s out of this world! Sooty In Space is the latest stage show starring CITV’s very own Sooty, Sweep and Soo to hit the nation’s theatres. WHAM went along to join in the intergalactic adventure!
There was heaps of fun to be had from the start as Sooty and Sweep got up to plenty of mischief (as well as the odd scrap!) With great props including the hilarious Harry the Robot and a space shuttle that really lifted off skywards, there was lots of excitement on stage to keep everyone gripped to their seats. Not least when silly old Sweep accidentally got stuck in the space ship instead of astronaut Sooty just as it was about to blast off!
The second half of the show was a visual treat with a fantastic 3D sequence on stage. Everyone in the audience got a pair of special space goggles to wear to enjoy the spectacular 3D dancing Martians and flying cups and saucers!
With lots of opportunity to join in with the action - whether that meant getting squirted by Sooty’s water pistol or being lucky enough to get up on stage with Richard for a robot-building contest - everyone felt like they’d been part of this special space mission. What’s more, we all got a photo of Sooty and Co. to take home as a souvenir of our shared journey into space!
WHAM’s verdict? Cosmic! We’re already looking forward to Sooty and the Creepy Castle live on stage next year!
