In Bel’s Boys, 9-year old Bel ends up managing a new boy band!
Bel really does know what works, music wise - but will the band, her Dad and the world take her seriously?
She loves pop music. Her walls are covered in posters of gorgeous pop stars. And when she grows up, she wants to be a music manager. She plans to get her acts to Number One and fill arenas with their screaming fans!
But it turns turns out she may not have to wait that long!
Dad Ainsley is an actor’s agent and hasn’t got time for Bel’s ‘silly pop music’. So when three boys who’ve just formed their own band write to him, he thinks it’s hilarious. He shows Bel the letter and CD to give her a laugh - but the demo blows her away. She thinks they’re the best band she’s ever heard, and they deserve to make it big.
Bel thinks that the world needs to hear Leon, Tay, and Vince’s music. And the world will hear them – she’ll make sure of that. How hard can it be to get them a gig, win them some fans, and make sure the right people see them perform?
Bel is the band’s first real life fan - they’ve never played anywhere outside their garage before. Enthusiastic Leon is sure they’re ready for the big time, but he’s having a hard time convincing his bandmates to step out on a stage. Bel must persuade stage fright-struck Tay, and pessimistic Vince, that if she likes their music, then so will masses of other people!
The boys think Bel is great - and they’re happy to let her help… until a grown up manager comes along. But when will it occur to them that the best manager they could ever have is the 9-year old, right under their noses?
